8. What is the diagnostic software update designed to do?
Detect if the battery is at risk of overheating, and turn off the battery if at risk. Detect if the battery is at risk of overheating, and notify the consumer and/or LG if at risk. Fix the issue with the overheating battery, removing the risk.
9. What must we immediately advise the consumer once they are confirmed to have recall-affected batteries?
They must switch off their batteries, and will receive compensation for doing so. They must call their installer to take care of the batteries. They must have their batteries replaced as soon as possible.
